Opening Day

Today we begin an experiment in communications. The POCC blog is a tryout to see if we can help the POCC family be more connected to one another and to God in a new way. Sometimes thought-provoking, sometimes informative, maybe even sometimes entertaining (we hope). We’ll begin slowly, but expand if our trial balloon works. Really, this is just another tool we're using, as we work on our three objectives - see the right column. It also ties in very well with our four practices.

Connecting - Hopefully, we'll help our church family be more involved in each other's lives. We'll also strive to strengthen our connection to God, sharing His Word and what He is doing in our lives.

Growing - We've never done a blog before, so we are growing in our technology skills. But we should also grow through the content we share.

Investing - It'll take time and talents to develop the site and its content. And you'll invest in reading and sharing your thoughts as well.

Inviting - Many people are always looking for new sites to follow. Maybe you know someone you'd like to invite to keep in touch with Prairie Oak through this blog.

So I hope you enjoy our new adventure together. As always, we hope to glorify God in all we do - and give you the opportunity to do the same.
